"Marketing move I guess"

Funny you should mention that, because that is exactly what it is, and its exactly what is needed.

Flash devs have known for a long time you can still do SEO in a flash site, even before all this hype about a custom flash player or whatever. The rest of the outside world still believes if you have a flash site you aren't going to get indexed no matter what. An answer by Yahoo and Google should be convincing enough, even if it is smoke and mirrors.

Now when you're trying to convince someone that you can do SEO just fine in a Flash site, you just point to the press release and say, "Look, Yahoo and Google say they do it too!", and just implement the SEO the way you always have been.
