One of the more frustrating navagations I have seen:
I point it out becuase I think this is where flash starts to go bad…doing stuff because someone thinks it might be cool with no thought to usability.

You are right, it is bloody awful. The idea is sound, but the execution is terrible. Navigating through the screen shots seems to be off target, if you know what I mean, and once you click on one a pop up appears, urgh!…and to top it off it is not even the screen shot you were expecting…for example the Pinky & the Brain screen…click on it and where is that screen? bad, bad, bad. And once you have closed the pop up (because you were dissapointed that it isn’t have the shot you were expecting) you have to find where you were last!
I am sorry if I sound too opinionated, but I think you could heed my comments and do a better job.
I can what they’ve done here - they’ve tried to rip off/borrow from/pay homage to the UI design from the very lovely Mac app CoverFlow.
But sadly they’ve not implemented their version anything like as well…
It has the potential to be a usable navigation with some tweaking. By shoving all the other screenshots into the background when one receives focus, it becomes unwieldy. A better approach would be to keep the unfocused screenshots in place and to bring only the focused one forward.
